The Triangle Tango Intercollegiate Regatta is set to make waves once again on November 9-10 at Lake Crabtree County Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the regatta’s debut in 2014, this year’s event marks the 8th edition of the Triangle Tango, hosted by NC State University and presented by the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance. This event is free to the public and is family-friendly. Certified as a silver-level Clean Regatta by Sailors for the Sea, the event highlights sustainability in competitive collegiate sailing.
Teams competing include local favorites NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Duke, alongside teams from UNC-Wilmington, Clemson, the University of Virginia, University of South Carolina, The Citadel, Florida Tech, and the University of Florida. Spectators can enjoy prime views from the shoreside tower and waterfront areas at Lake Crabtree County Park and there will be special giveaways of the limited-edition event poster designed by Amanda Meares Morris adding to the excitement.
The regatta event begins Saturday at 10 a.m. with a brief opening ceremony before racing begins. The action continues until 5 p.m., resuming Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., promising a weekend filled with high-level intercollegiate sailing.
