On Saturday, March 12th, college sailors will return to the Sailing Capital of North Carolina, for the 2016 Oriental SailPack Invitational regatta hosted by NC State and Bow-to-Stern Sailing Center. This year's event will be the second collegiate regatta hosted in Oriental. Last year's event was well-attended and conditions were exciting for the more than 50 college sailors competing in a great regatta event, the first of its kind in Oriental. Scores for the event will be posted online at http://scores.collegesailing.org/s16/2016-sailpack-invitational.
Currently, teams scheduled to compete include host NC State, Auburn, Univ. of Florida, Univ. of Georgia, Georgia Tech, with more teams registering still. Both NC State and Univ. of Georgia sailors will be capping off a week-long training session in Oriental with the Saturday regatta event. Great conditions are expected as always.
