Saturday's weather was otherwise warm and sunny for sailors and spectators alike. NC State sailors were joined by friends and teammates to celebrate the start of SPRING BREAK together on sailboats in the sun.
SPRING BREAK!!!
Afternoon conditions improved and with a great breeze, strong puffs and sunshine, the race committee was able to finish four races in both fleets by the end of the day. NC State was represented by junior skipper David Rogers (Mt. Pleasant, SC) and sophomore crew Paulina Spencer (Raleigh, NC), with senior skipper Dustin Simons (Durham, NC) and sophomore crew Kristin Neill (Greensboro, NC) in B-fleet. Wolfpack sailors were joined at the regatta by Auburn, The Citadel, Georgia Tech, Vanderbuilt, the College of Charleston and Clemson, as well as host team University of Tennessee. Clemson sailors led the regatta from the first race and went wire-to-wire for the win.
Special thanks to University of Tennessee sailors for hosting a great regatta and for making sure we had good weather to start off the spring break holiday. Congrats to Clemson on their second regatta win in a row this season!
